HIFU
Standard Rejuvenation — Muscle Lifting — Non-Invasive
Facial restructuring
from the SMAS muscle layer
Focused ultrasound acts precisely on the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) — the muscle layer only conventional facelift surgery reaches. Concentrated thermal energy at 3.0–4.5mm depth contracts sagging muscle fibres and activates the production of new Collagen & Elastin.
- Ageing skin with mild to moderate sagging
- Poorly defined facial contours, deep wrinkles or a drooping brow arch
- Wanting a V-line facial contour without applications or surgery
- Maintaining firmness following other aesthetic treatments

Concentrated heat at 3–4.5mm depth —
SMAS muscle contraction
Thermal energy is precisely focused at depths of 3.0mm and 4.5mm — the superficial SMAS muscle layer that only surgery reaches. Micro thermal coagulation points instantly contract muscle fibres while simultaneously activating a natural self-healing response that continues for 3–6 months.
Results like surgery —
without going under the knife
The entire procedure is non-invasive — skin may be mildly red for 2–4 hours before returning to normal. Makeup and normal work can resume the same day. Lifting results accumulate and peak at 3 months, lasting 12–18 months.

Full-face restructuring
- Concentrated thermal energy at 3.0–4.5mm depth contracts sagging muscle fibres
- Activates new Collagen and Elastin production through the natural self-healing response
- Precise targeting with no effect on surrounding tissue

Your questions answered
Common questions about HIFU at Tú An Clinic.
A tingling and warm sensation may be felt at the energy delivery points — entirely within a tolerable range. The jawbone and forehead areas may be slightly more noticeable. Topical anaesthetic can be applied 30 minutes beforehand if needed. Skin may be mildly red for 2–4 hours after treatment with no downtime required.
Firmer and more refined skin may be visible within the first 2–4 weeks. Optimal results are achieved at 3 months when the Collagen regeneration process is complete. Results last 12–18 months depending on individual factors and skincare routine.
Standard HIFU suits mild to moderate ageing with basic lifting and wrinkle reduction goals. HIFU Ultherapy Plus adds CFU — suited to more advanced ageing, deeper wrinkles, and those wanting comprehensive restructuring from SMAS to skin surface. The doctor will advise on the appropriate protocol after a direct consultation.
Typically one session per year is sufficient to maintain results. For more visible ageing, two sessions in the first year may be needed. Combining with regular skincare treatments (Peel, light Laser) helps extend HIFU results.
HIFU is not suitable for those who are pregnant, have metal implants in the treatment area, have active skin conditions, or have very thin skin with insufficient fatty tissue. The doctor will assess carefully before proceeding.
